Our books are here when you need them...
When class papers are due, there is a rush on other campus libraries...You can almost hear people emptying the shelves of all the books YOU need.
New this Quarter, all copies can be checked out except reserve items. And it gets even better...25% of our collection has second copies too.

Fiction means fun...
How about reading some good fiction by and about women? All 1,800 fiction titles can be checked out. Our collection focuses on American women of color, lesbians and international women. Lan Samantha Chen, Zadie Smith, Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, Jennifer Weiner, Louise Erdrich, Toni Morrison, Amy Tan, Julia Alvarez, Michelle Tea and many other authors await you!

Cyberspace at your fingertips...
Two computers are available to access our Library database or to "surf the web" for additional resources for your term papers and projects.
Got your own laptop? Bring it in and use our Wireless Internet Service. It’s accessible throughout the Women’s Center.

Even extra-terrestrials can use our library...
they just don't have check-out privileges. Only current UCD students, staff and faculty can check out books, but anyone can come in and use our resources.

If you can't take it with you...
The library has a photocopy machine which you can use to copy library materials that don't circulate. Cost is 10 cents per page.

Please, please, please, please!...
We appreciate book donations (non-fiction, fiction, poetry) on issues related to women and/or gender. It's especially useful to receive donations of required readings from women's studies and ethnic studies classes, so think of us at the end of the quarter and donate if you are able. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!
