How to Support a Friend: WRRC Tools for a Caring Community

This 30 min. presentation offers TAs, faculty, RAs and staff an overview and tips on how to use the WRRC signature series of resources. “How to Support a Friend” resources have been created to connect students to referrals they need in a caring and empowering way. Currently, topics include How to Support a Friend with: Abusive Relationships, Disordered Eating, Gender Transitioning, Self-Esteem, Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, Stalking, and Unplanned Pregnancy.

By Design

WRRC professional and student staff are available to work with your department’s or organization’s needs to design a workshop for a staff training, conference, or public event. How can an intersectional feminist approach to gender justice impact your work? Please begin this collaboration process as early as possible and at a minimum of three weeks before the requested date.

2. Your organization.
3. Which workshop you are requesting.
4. Possible date/time/location for the workshop.

WRRC EDGE (Empowering Dialogue for Gender Equity) workshops are also available by request from peer educators. These workshops have been designed by students for students.
