Doula Care

The doula's role is to provide physical, emotional and informational support to the person giving birth and their partners during labor and birth. The doula offers help and advice in comfort measures such as breathing, relaxation, movement and positioning. The doula also assists families in gathering information about the course of their labor and their options. The doula's goal is to help pregnant people have a safe and satisfying childbirth as they define it.

California WIC

Women Infant and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program is for low income pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women and children under age five who have a nutrition risk.

WIC provides nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion, medical care referrals, and specific supplemental nutritious foods which are high in protein and/ or iron.

Expectant Mother Parking

Obtain a TAPS Medical permit by obtaining a statement of health from your physician stating the nature of your medical needs and the duration the parking accommodation is required. Or a DMV Disabled temporary placard. Required to have doctor sign disability certification and a fee of $6 for the temporary placard.

Midwife Care

A licensed midwife is an individual who has been issued a license to practice midwifery by the Medical Board of California. The practice of midwifery authorizes the licensee to attend cases of normal pregnancy and childbirth, and to provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, including family-planning care, for the mother, and immediate care for the newborn.
