UC Davis women, discover your power! Our program teaches strategies to increase your awareness and assertiveness, in addition to basic self-defense techniques that are designed for women of all ages, body types and physical abilities. You’ll receive realistic and dynamic hands-on training, helping to empower you with the knowledge needed to make educated decisions about resistance.

All instructors are certified by Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Systems, the most widely used national self-defense system for college campuses. By participating in these trainings, you receive a lifetime membership policy that allows you to re-enroll in R.A.D. classes nationwide at no cost.

By providing effective options of resistance, women are encouraged to take an active role in your own self-defense and psychological well being.

Choose from:
  • The complete 12-hour self-defense class with an optional simulation exercise that allows you to test your newly developed skills.
  • A 1 to 2-hour workshop that introduces the basics of self-defense.
  • PE courses that teach the complete self-defense curriculum with an optional simulation exercise (UCD students only; check your course catalog for a CRN number).
