Gender Equity Internship Program

Interested in applying?

The Women's Resources and Research Center recruits new interns for the year during Fall Quarter. Applications are will be available early October.

Gender Equity Intern Role:

The WRRC Gender Equity Internship Program strives to provide leadership and professional skill development opportunities in an inclusive and intersectional feminist space where students can recognize their leadership potential, and where women, trans, non-binary, and gender nonconforming students can become fully empowered. We seek to empower interns to develop creative ways to address sexism, genderism, cisgenderism, and cissexism that inspire hope and offer opportunities to create change. The Gender Equity Internship Program offers student-scholars an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting WRRC functions, developing programs, and supporting the library.

This year the WRRC is partnering with Health Education Promotions and two interns will have the opportunity to focus their efforts on the intersections of health equity and gender equity.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sara Blair-Medeiros (slblair@ucdavis.edu).

What you will gain from the Gender Equity Intern role:

  • Experience working in a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Skills in program planning and implementation
  • Understanding of the range and depth of gender and social justice issues
  • Experience in community outreach, event programming, and facilitation
