Community Building Programs
The Women's Resources and Research Center hosts and facilitates several community building programs centered in gender equity practice and theoretical foundations. Our programs are open to the UC Davis and surrounding communities and aim to bring community together to explore gender equity and learn. Take a look at our programs below!
Davis Feminist Film Festival
The Davis Feminist Film Festival (DFFF) is a grassroots festival of short films from around the world.
End of Year Banquet
The WRRC Scholarship and Awards reception serves to recognize the contributions of students, staff, faculty, and community members toward the goal of gender equity and social justice.
Family Activities Night
Family Activities Night occurs twice a year, during Winter and Spring quarters, and offers a space for student, faculty and staff families to connect with each other, share resources, and relax in a family friendly atmosphere.
Graduate Outreach Programs
In an effort to build community among women identified graduate students, the WRRC GSR hosts a variety of social and networking programs which provide opportunities and support systems for fellow graduate students.
Open House
In an effort to introduce new students to the work of the WRRC and welcome students back to campus, the WRRC hosts an open house that includes tours and workshops that highlight the programs and services provided by the WRRC.
OurStories
Through a series of performances, the production of OurStories centers the impacts of gendered violence on the community in order to create visibility, educate, and work to end systems of oppression.
