Join us for the 2nd annual Women of Color Retreat (WOCR) taking place at Walker Creek Ranch on March 1st-3rd, 2024!

The Women of Color Retreat is hosted by the UC Davis Women's Resource & Research Center to foster opportunities for identity and skill development as well as community building for women and femme identified UC Davis students. This year, our theme for WOCR is Reimagining Healing, Reimagining Self: Unmasking What's Within!

The retreat will include identity based workshops, community care/healing spaces, and engaging activities. The retreat will be a unique opportunity for student-scholars to build community, explore identity, and share experiences/knowledge. We hope that you will join us!

Our Hopes for WOCR: Through the creation of an engaging retreat space, the WOCR, aspires to empower those with marginalized gender identities, with a specific focus on those who hold women identities, to connect and be in community with one another while being compassionately challenged to explore identity at the intersections of race and gender, feelings associated with that exploration, and become more vulnerable with others. The WOCR is an opportunity for women of color to explore the beautiful complexities and the brilliant joy of being exactly who we are. 

Retreat Details:
Busses will depart UC Davis at 9am on Friday March 1st
We will return to UC Davis at 6pm on Sunday March 3rd
Lodging and meals will be provided (Continental breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner on the 1st; Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner on the 2nd; Breakfast and Lunch on the 3rd)

APPLICATION DUE BY: 11:59p.m. on Sunday, January 28th, 2024.

If you are selected to attend the retreat, you will hear from us via email by February 1st, 2024. Please note that this email will include a confirmation date for you to reply by and confirm your spot. This confirmation process will help us re-connect with folks and inform anyone on the waitlist about available spots.

This retreat is open only to registered UC Davis Students.
