GSR for Davis Feminist Film Festival
Greetings! My name is Jessica and I serve as the Graduate Student Researcher for the Davis Feminist Film Festival. I am excited to serve in this role because I strongly believe in the power of visual storytelling to expose and educate our community in issues of local, global, and transnational intersectional feminisms. I am a third year Ph.D. student in the Geography Graduate Group, and I hold a M.S. in Community and Regional Development and a B.A. in Socio-Cultural Anthropology. My research focuses on the role of womxn in community resistance to tourism development in the global south. In my free time you can find me playing and hiking with my fur-daughter, doing yoga, trying and cooking new foods, and traveling.
